JadeWeb : What is your first musical memory ?
That would be a children’s album called "free to be you and
me"... i think it was about learning to be an individual... but i
forget. i just remember a very colorful cover.
Which
artist or song has "affected" your childhood ?
When
i was 8 my favorite band was KISS.. when i was 10 my favorite band
was the beatles... before those ages i don’t think i was too aware
of popular music.
Did
you think of working in music ? What did you really want to become
later?
Since
i was 15 i wanted to work in music. and nothing else... before that
i wanted to be a clown... then a chef.
Are
there any disturbing or nice sounds that have "affected" your childhood ?
The
most affecting sound from my childhood would either be the sound of
my mom vaccuuming.. i used to listen to it through my bed upstairs
and she vaccuumed downstairs.. it would put me to sleep. also, the
sound of baseball games over the AM radio... my dad used to listen
to these during long car trips.. i remember being in the back of the
car late at night being put to sleep by the crackling sounds and voices.
Did
your parents give you a musical education ?
They
made me take piano lessons when i bought my first synthesizer... i
begged for them not to make me do it. but they did for 2 years...
Can
you tell us about a musical memory of your childhood (a concert, a
show..) ?
My mom taking me to see Kiss when i was 8... it was wild.

I
suppose it would be anything by Kiss or the beatles... but i
don’t remember.... after the beatles i started listening to
new wave.. when i was12 or 13 or so.. getting into electronic
music.
