What is your first musical memory ?
A Glockenspiel sound. I had to play a song on it because I wanted
to take a drag on my fathers tobacco pipe. I played "Kuckuk, Kuckuk".
Which artist or song has "affected" your
childhood ?
I can't remember my childhood. I drink too much.
Did you think of working in music ?
What did you really want tobecome later ?
I always wanted to become a children's doctor.
Are there any disturbing or nice sounds
that have "affected" yourchildhood ?
Disturbing : the sound of skin when beating someone or being beat.
Nice : the eject sound of my tape recorder.
Did your parents give you a musical education ?
Yes. Electric organ. I also gave my brother rhythm lessons with
my fists.
Can you tell us about a musical memory of
your childhood (a concert,a show..) ?
my very first concert in 1982 with a group called "The Egocentric
2" in our living room.
Instruments: 1 KORG MS 20 synth, 1 EKO organ, 1 Casio VL tone, 1 analog
delay, 1 microphone, a drumset made of dustbins. All instruments were
played through the built-in organ amplifyer.
Audience
: Conrad (12), Karsten (9), Alex (12), Ronald (18) and one unidentifiable
boy. No girls.
