David Bowie "Space Oddity" , just remember how funny it was to hear my Dad sing it ...

Did you think of working in music ? What did you really want to become later?
No not really, wanted to be a radio DJ for ages, and made loads of my own
shows with a dodgy mike and a few "imaginary freinds"...

Are there any disturbing or nice sounds that have "affected" your childhood ?
Yeah my Dad singing Queen, "Bohemian Rhapsody", in the car with all the windows down...

nope.

No, not until about 15 years old. Before that I wanted to be a city broker.

Not really. Only by playing motown records all the time.

All played by my dad on tape in car journeys between Portsmouth and Bristol.

The Specials, Madness, The Selecter.

Did you think of working in music ? What did you really want to become later?
Nope. First I wanted to shoot guns at people, then I wanted to be an artist.

Are there any disturbing or nice sounds that have "affected" your childhood ?
The sound of the terraces at Ashton Gate. My uncle used to organise a mentally dangerous stock-car race on his farm (20 or 30 cars driving round and round a field, smashing into one another until there was only one left), which was always awesomely noisy and violent.

Did your parents give you a musical education ?
No.

Can you tell us about a musical memory of your childhood (a concert, a show..) ?
Some godawful christian rock band called Heartbeat who came and played at
our school.
